宣読官が従容として読み終わるのを待って、通事官が「焚帛」と唱える。世曾孫が衆官を率いて皆平身し、焚帛所に至って焚き終わるのを待ってから露台に戻り、衆官とともに恩謝の三跪九叩頭の礼を行い終わって退班する。世曾孫が先王尚貞の神主を捧げて廟東辺門より廟内に入り、東偏の神座に安置する。世曾孫がまた先王尚益の神主を捧げて就位させる。天使がまた先王尚益への諭祭文を取り、捧軸官に授けて前の儀の如くする。
諭祭文二道は皆別に謄録して焚黄し、原勅は俱に請い留めて廟中に供する。
諭祭の礼が終わると天使は易服し、世曾孫が揖して東庁に至り相見の礼を行う。《割書:世曾孫は未だ受封せず、猶お幕次を守り、此に至りて始めて使臣と相見す。七宴は此より始まる。張学礼記に始至に迎風宴ありとするは非なり》天使は東に居し、世曾孫は西に居して各々三拝し、坐に送って茶を奉じ終わってから前堂での宴を請う。天使は左行し世曾孫は右行して前堂に至る。天使は東に居し世曾孫は西に居して安坐する。正使は東に居し副使は西に居して俱に南面して坐す。世曾孫は面東北して坐す。楽は設けず、茶酒は皆親しく献ずるも天使は辞し、天使の酬献も亦辞す。席終わって天使の輿を滴水前に請い、世曾孫は階を下りて揖別し、衆官は門を出て跪送する。世曾孫はこの日館に詣でて謝するに及ばず、先に官を遣わして館に至らせ謝労させる。天使も次日には亦官を遣わして王城に入らせ宴を謝す。これを第一宴と為す。

Waiting for the proclamation official to finish reading in a composed manner, the interpreter official calls out "burn the silk offerings." The great-great-grandson leads all officials to rise and proceed to the silk-burning location. After waiting for the burning to be completed, they return to the open terrace, and together with the officials, perform the ritual of three kneelings and nine kowtows to express gratitude, then withdraw from formation. The great-great-grandson carries the spirit tablet of former king Sho Tei, enters the shrine through the eastern side gate, and places it on the eastern spirit seat. The great-great-grandson then carries the spirit tablet of former king Sho Eki and places it in position. The imperial envoy again takes the imperial sacrificial text for former king Sho Eki, hands it to the scroll-bearing official, and proceeds according to the previous ceremony.
Both imperial sacrificial texts are separately transcribed and the yellow copies burned, while the original imperial edicts are all requested to be kept and enshrined in the temple.
After the sacrificial ceremony is completed, the imperial envoy changes clothes, and the great-great-grandson escorts him with a bow to the eastern hall to perform the meeting ceremony. 《Marginal note: The great-great-grandson has not yet received investiture and still keeps to the curtained quarters. Only at this point does he first meet with the envoys. The seven banquets begin from this point. Zhang Xueli's record stating that there was a "Welcome Wind Banquet" upon first arrival is incorrect.》 The imperial envoy takes the eastern position, the great-great-grandson takes the western position, each performs three bows, and after being seated and served tea, they request to proceed to the front hall for a banquet. The imperial envoy proceeds on the left, the great-great-grandson on the right to reach the front hall. The imperial envoy sits in the eastern position, the great-great-grandson in the western position. The chief envoy sits in the eastern position, the deputy envoy in the western position, both facing south. The great-great-grandson sits facing northeast. No music is provided. Tea and wine are all personally offered, but the imperial envoy declines; the imperial envoy's reciprocal offerings are also declined. At the end of the banquet, the imperial envoy's palanquin is requested to proceed to before Tekisui. The great-great-grandson descends the steps to bid farewell with a bow, and the various officials exit the gate and kneel in farewell. On this day, the great-great-grandson does not have time to visit the guesthouse to express thanks, so he first sends an official to the guesthouse to express gratitude for their efforts. The next day, the imperial envoy also sends an official to enter the royal castle to express thanks for the banquet. This constitutes the first banquet.
