故琉球国中山王尚貞の霊に諭祭して曰く、朕、万邦を撫綏し中外一体たり。遥かに荒服に在りても咸な湛恩を畀う。矧んや忠を効すこと既に生前に篤く、斯れ恤を賜うこと身後に弥々隆なり。鴻伐を眷言し宜しく龍光を賁すべし。爾琉球国中山王尚貞、朝章を肃凛し世緒を丕揚す。天府に声霊を秉りて鯨波水静たり。大庭に正朔を奉じて島服風清たり。靖共懈らず、恩早くに九重に錫り、貞順弥々加わり、時将に三紀を歴さんとす。方に期頤未だ艾れずと謂うべきに、何ぞ図らん徂謝を遥聞し深く愴懐を用いん。特に祭恤を領せしむ。嗚呼、遐方に屏翰と作りて始終臣節たり。幽穸に優崇を被りて炳煥たる綸褒なり。苾芳を用いて薦め、尚其れ歆格せよ。

Thus it is:
In the fifty-eighth year of Kangxi, the cyclical year ji-hai, on the sacrificial day ding-mao, exceeding the first day ren-yin of the sixth month,
The Emperor dispatched Chief Envoy Hai Bao, Compiler of the Hanlin Academy, and Deputy Envoy Xu Baoguang, Editor of the Hanlin Academy, to invest the Kingdom of Ryukyu,

Proclaiming a sacrificial ceremony to the spirit of the late King Sho Tei of Chuzan, Kingdom of Ryukyu, saying: "I, governing all nations with care, treat the interior and exterior as one body. Even those in the distant frontier lands all receive abundant grace. How much more so when loyalty was already sincere during life—thus the bestowal of compassion becomes ever more generous after death. Reflecting upon your great achievements, it is fitting to bestow imperial radiance. You, King Sho Tei of Chuzan, Kingdom of Ryukyu, solemnly observed court regulations and greatly promoted your lineage. Holding spiritual authority from Heaven's court, the whale waves were calmed and waters stilled. Serving the imperial calendar in the great court, the winds were clear and island territories at peace. Tranquil and respectful without slackening, favor was early bestowed from the Nine Palaces. Your faithfulness and obedience ever increased, and time was about to span three cycles. Just when one might say your centenary years were not yet exhausted, how could one foresee that news of your passing would reach us from afar, causing deep sorrow in our heart. We specially order this sacrificial ceremony of condolence. Alas! Serving as a protective screen in distant lands, maintaining the loyalty of a vassal from beginning to end. Receiving honor and reverence in the netherworld, this is a brilliant imperial commendation. We offer fragrant herbs in sacrifice—may your spirit accept and descend."
