All are decorated with colorful ornaments, and a single-bay wooden pavilion is constructed to serve as the ceremonial court, set up in the courtyard of the royal hall. A palace dais is placed in the center with tiered steps on the left and right. An incense table is set in front of the ceremonial court, with two incense attendants positioned on either side of the incense table. The crown prince's position for receiving gifts is set in front of the incense table. A proclamation reading platform is set to the left of the eaves drip line in front of the hall. The crown prince's bowing position is set in the center of the open terrace. The officials' bowing positions are arranged in tiers behind the crown prince, to the left and right. Two protocol officials stand on either side of the crown prince. Two ceremonial officials stand on either side of the assembled officials. Ceremonial weapons and banners are displayed on the left and right of the royal hall. The musical performance position is set behind the officials' bowing positions. On the twenty-sixth day of the seventh month, day of dingyou, at dawn, the legal officers and assembled officials lead drums, gongs, and ceremonial weapons to gather completely in front of the Imperial Envoy's Lodge. After the Imperial Envoy opens the gate and the formal audience concludes, they respectfully request the Dragon Pavilion to enter the central hall of the lodge. The edict-bearing official and the imperial decree-bearing official each carry the edict and decree and reverently place them in the Dragon Pavilion. The gift-bearing official carries silk fabrics and other items, placing them separately in the decorated pavilions on the left and right. One pavilion each is set up for the king and queen. The assembled officials arrange themselves in formation and perform the ritual of three kneelings and nine kowtows. After this concludes, they proceed ahead, and the crown prince leads the assembled officials to prostrate in welcome outside Shuri-bō. The Dragon Pavilion pauses temporarily, and the crown prince and assembled officials rise to standing position. The Imperial Envoys step forward and take positions on the left and right of the Dragon Pavilion. When the interpreter official calls "Form ranks," the crown prince and assembled officials perform the three kneelings and nine kowtows ceremony of receiving the edict. After this concludes, the assembled officials and crown prince lead the way and stand below the hall. The Dragon Pavilion enters and arrives.
