現代語訳

第二層の雑衣郎が転じて外の一層に出て、手を舞わせ足を踏み鳴らし回旋するのを節とする。四、五回順次に旋転して下り、第四宴とする。

餞別宴を第五宴とし、儀礼は前の通りである。また国中の故事一、二齣を増やして楽とする。

拝辞宴を第六宴とし、儀礼に戯楽を増すこと前宴の如くである。宴が終わると国王は客を府から送り出し、守礼坊の外に至って、更に世子第の中に小座を設け、手ずから三爵を奉じて別れとする。

望舟宴を第七宴とし、国王は天使館に至って宴を設ける。礼は前儀の如くで、面して金扇一握を致して別れとする。臣等の宴礼が既に畢わると、吉日を選んで封舟に登り、風を候って朝に帰り復命する。

中山王尚敬は陪臣法司・王舅紫金大夫等を遣わし、表を齎して恩を謝し、併せて貢物を常年貢船一号に自ら附して封舟と同じく発たせる。

中山王謝恩表

琉球国中山王臣尚敬、誠に懽び誠に忭び、稽首頓首して謹んで表を奉じて上言す。伏して以うに、

聖武弘く昭らかにして特に内屛の任を重んじ、

皇文丕く振るって復た外翰の権に膺く。

体統を藩臣に隆んにして内を安んじて兼ねて外を攘う。

英語訳

The men in mixed robes of the second layer turn and emerge to the outer first layer, dancing with their hands and stamping their feet in circular motions as the rhythm. They rotate in sequence four or five times and descend, making this the fourth banquet.

The farewell banquet serves as the fifth banquet, with ceremonies as before. Additionally, one or two acts of national historical tales are added for entertainment.

The departure audience banquet serves as the sixth banquet, with ceremonies augmented by theatrical music as in the previous banquet. When the banquet ends, the king escorts the guests out of the palace to outside the Shureimun gate, where he further sets up a small seat in the crown prince's residence and personally offers three cups of wine as farewell.

The ship-viewing banquet serves as the seventh banquet. The king comes to the imperial envoys' lodge to hold a banquet with ceremonies as in the previous rites, formally presenting a handful of golden fans as farewell. When our ceremonial banquets are completed, we select an auspicious day to board the investiture ship, await favorable winds, and return to court to report back.

King Shō Kei of Chuzan dispatched accompanying ministers - the chief justice, royal uncles with the rank of Purple and Gold Grand Master, and others - bearing a memorial of gratitude, along with tribute goods loaded on the regular annual tribute ship, departing together with the investiture ship.

The King of Chuzan in the Ryukyu Kingdom, subject Shō Kei, with sincere joy and happiness, bowing his head and kowtowing, respectfully presents this memorial stating: Humbly submitted,

Your sacred military prowess shines broadly, particularly valuing the responsibility of internal defense,

Your imperial culture flourishes magnificently, again bearing the authority of external governance.

You elevate the hierarchical system among vassal lords, securing the interior while simultaneously repelling external threats.
