規模を旧制に煥発し、武を緯とするは即ちこれ文を経とするなり。拝命してますます虔み、躬を撫してますます励む。恭しく惟うに、

皇帝陛下は

道は堯舜に隆く、

徳は湯文に邁く、

六合を統べて衣を垂れ、仁を教うるには必ず先ず孝を教え、

九重を開いて典礼を以てし、君と作りて又兼ねて師と作る。

臣敬は世々藩疆を守り、代々貢職を供す。

龍章の遠錫を荷い、鮫島光輝を生ず。

鳳詔の追揚を蒙り、丹楹色を増す。

天使に対して九叩し、

象闕を望みて三呼す。謹んで陪臣向龍翼・程順則等を遣わし、虔んで土物を齎し、聊か芹私を表す。伏して願わくは、

乾行息まず、

沢沛ますます崇からんことを。

王会を統べて以て図を開き、車書を合する者千八百国、

天時を占い律に応じて、三十六風に禎祥を験せん。将に見んとす、文麟瑞を献じ、彩鳳来儀するを。

臣敬瞻仰して任うる無し。

He illuminates the standards according to ancient institutions, weaving military affairs which is indeed taking civil governance as the warp. Receiving the imperial mandate with increasing reverence, examining myself with greater dedication. Humbly considering that,

His Imperial Majesty's

Way surpasses that of Yao and Shun,

Virtue exceeds that of Tang and Wen,

Unifying the six directions while ruling with effortless governance, in teaching benevolence one must first teach filial piety,

Opening the nine-layered palace through ritual and ceremony, serving as ruler while also serving as teacher.

Your subject Kei has for generations guarded the feudal territory and supplied tribute duties through the ages.

Receiving the distant bestowal of the dragon seal, our shark islands shine with brilliance.

Blessed with the pursuing proclamation of the phoenix edict, our red pillars gain in splendor.

Before the imperial envoys I bow nine times,

Gazing toward the elephant towers I call out three times. I respectfully dispatch accompanying ministers Kō Ryūyoku, Tei Junsoku and others to reverently carry local products, humbly expressing my modest offerings. I humbly wish that,

The celestial movement never ceases,

Imperial grace becomes ever more sublime.

Uniting the royal assemblies to expand the realm, those who unite in script and measures number one thousand eight hundred kingdoms,

Divining heavenly timing and responding to the pitch pipes, may auspicious omens be verified in the thirty-six winds. Soon we shall witness the cultured qilin offering auspicious signs and the colorful phoenix arriving in ceremony.
