金鶴以下は乃ちその謝封貢物なり。旧例に胡椒有りしも、今欠くゆえに銅錫を以てこれに代う。その常年貢物は白錫（一千斤）・紅銅（三千斤）・硫黄（一万二千八百斤）に止まる。硫黄は藩庫に納め、貢使は銅錫を京に賫し至る。前明において福州に特に市舶提舉一員を設け、専ら琉球貢事を理し、内官をもってこれを領せしむ。本朝はその事を海防同知に省併し、貢使をして猶これを提舉と称せしむと云う。

From the golden cranes down, these are the tribute items for expressing gratitude for the investiture. According to old precedent there was pepper, but now lacking, copper and tin are substituted for it. The regular annual tribute items are limited to white tin (one thousand jin), red copper (three thousand jin), and sulfur (twelve thousand eight hundred jin). Sulfur is stored in the domain treasury, while tribute envoys carry copper and tin to the capital. During the previous Ming dynasty, one Maritime Trade Supervisor was specially established in Fuzhou to exclusively manage Ryukyu tribute affairs, with a court eunuch in charge. The current dynasty has consolidated this function under the Maritime Defense Assistant Magistrate, yet tribute envoys still refer to him as "Supervisor."

Chūzan King of Ryukyu Kingdom, subject Shō Kei, respectfully memorializes regarding the completion of the investiture ceremony and humbly requesting to preserve old ceremonies to honor the envoys.
