この時、
「御代替わりにつき、遠路より使者を差し上げられ、御喜悦に思し召され、中山王へ白銀・時服を遣わし下される。大御所様へ、大納言様」との上意の趣を老中が伝達したところ、薩摩守・具志川（王子）が一礼した。

英語訳

At this time, the rōjū conveyed the following message from higher authorities: "Regarding the succession of rule, [the Shogun] is pleased that an envoy has been sent from such a distant land, and bestows silver and ceremonial robes upon the King of Chūzan. From Ōgosho-sama to Dainagon-sama." Upon hearing this, both Satsuma-no-kami and Prince Gushikawa bowed.
