などは先ずこの理を専らとし、万事を投げ打って手習い学問を致すべき者である。
そもそも文武二道に達した者は天下に名を揚げ、四海に徳を顕し、才智芸能を有するが故に、上古末代に聞こゆることがあるべし

should first specialize in this principle above all else, casting aside all other matters to devote themselves to calligraphy practice and learning.
Indeed, those who master both literary and martial arts raise their names throughout the realm, manifest their virtue across the four seas, and possess talent, wisdom, and artistic abilities, thus their fame should be heard from ancient times to the end of days.
