百粒ものませて下さねば。危急（あやうきところ）を救（すく）
ふことあたはず。よくこゝろうべし。煎薬（せんやく）には一 味（み）
の甘草湯（かんざうとう）を用てよしへ【へは白抜き文字】瘭疽代指（へうそたいし）と
て。手（て）の指（ゆび）のかはる〴〵膿（うみ）て。痛（いたみ）つよくなや
むものあり。最初（さいしよ）その痛（いたみ）の軽（かろ）きものは。
金銀花（きんぎんくわ）。小茴香（せうういきやう）等分（とうぶん）にしたるを以て。
よく熨温（むしあたゝ）めて後に。胡麻油（ごまのあぶら）に蝋（らう）を入
たるにて片脳（へんなう）をねりたるを。つけてよし。
もし其重（そのおも）きものに至りては。それらのく
すりにては治しがたし。いかにとなれば。この
病の甚しきは。毒気増長（どくきぞうちやう）して。命を失（うしな）ふ
にいたる。容易（ようい）ならぬことなるを以て。最（さい）
初（しよ）の痛（いたみ）の軽（かろ）きと重（おもき）とによりて。もし痛（いたみ）
堪（たへ）がたく。惣身（そうみ）に熱（ねつ）あるものは。早（はや）く良（りやう）
毉（い）を撰（えらみ）てこれを委任（ゆだぬ）べきことなれど。其（その）
初には。軽（かろき）重（おもき）ともに先（まづ）此（こゝ）にいふ治法（ぢはふ）を
用てよきことなれば。記（しる）して示（しめす）ものなり
▲蛇（へび）に咬（かま）れたるには。創口（きつぐち）の血（ち）をしぼり
出して烟草（たばこ）の脂（やに）を塗（ぬり）つくべし。蛇（へび）に
咬（かま）れて。目眩（めくるめき）。熱（ねつ）出（いで）て悩（なや）むには。烟草（たばこ）の脂（やに）
に。明礬（みやうばん）の細末（こ）を合（あは）せ。丸じてのますべし。
一方に。明礬（みゃうばん）四匁。甘草（かんざう）二匁を細末して用
る。これも又 試（こころむ）べし。田家（いなか）などには。蛇（へび）の誤（あやまつ）て
女の陰戸（まへ）へ入て悩（なやむ）ことありときけり。若（もし）さる
時（とき）には。みだりに引出さんとすべからず。かれが
鱗（うろこ）さかしまにかゝりて出（いで）がたければ。かへつて
あし。もしさる時（とき）には。手（て）にて尾（を）をかたくに
ぎり。小刀にてもさしたるまゝにて。早（はや）く烟草（たばこ）
の脂（やに）を。その刺（さ）たる所（ところ）へしたゝかに塗（ぬり）つくべし。
蛇（へび）死（し）ぬれば。おのづから出る也。蛇（へび）の煙草（たばこ）の脂（やに）
を怖（おそる）ること甚（はなはだ）しく。わづかに芥子（けし）ばかりを口（くち）へ
入ても。たちまち悶苦（もだへくるし）みて死（し）ぬるときけば。
尾（を）をさきて。蜀椒（さんせう）を入よといふにはまさるべし。
又 誤（あやまつ）て小蛇を吞（のみ）て悶乱（もんらん）して。死（しな）んとせしもの
に。籖柿（くしがき）を煎（せん）じて服（のま）せたりしかば。速（すみやか）に治（ぢ）
したるよし。この物も又 蛇（へび）の怖（おそる）ることしられたり。
霜柿（ころがき）にても同 効（こう）也。これらにもたばこの
脂（やに）を用てます〳〵よろしかるべし▲蛇（へび）に繞（まか）
現代語訳
百粒も飲ませて下さなければ、危急な状況を救うことができない。よく心得るべきである。煎じ薬には一味の甘草湯を用いるとよい。瘭疽代指といって、手の指のあちこちが化膿して、痛みが強く苦しむものがある。最初その痛みの軽いものは、金銀花、小茴香を等分にしたものでよく温湿布をした後に、胡麻油に蝋を入れたもので片脳を練ったものを、つけるとよい。もしその重いものに至っては、それらの薬では治療しがたい。なぜかというと、この病気の甚だしいものは、毒気が増長して、命を失うに至る。容易ならぬことなので、最初の痛みの軽重によって、もし痛みに堪えがたく、全身に熱があるものは、早く良医を選んでこれを委ねるべきことであるが、その初期には、軽重ともにまずここに言う治法を用いてよいことなので、記して示すものである。

咬まれて、目眩、熱が出て悩むときには、煙草の脂に、明礬の細末を合わせ、丸薬にして飲ませるべきである。一方に、明礬四匁、甘草二匁を細末にして用いる。これもまた試すべきである。田舎などには、蛇が誤って女性の陰部へ入って苦しむことがあると聞いている。もしそのような時には、みだりに引き出そうとしてはならない。蛇の鱗が逆さまにかかって出にくいので、かえって悪い。もしそのような時には、手で尾をしっかりと握り、小刀でも刺したままで、早く煙草の脂を、その刺したところへたっぷりと塗りつけるべきである。蛇が死ねば、自然に出る。蛇が煙草の脂を恐れることは甚だしく、わずかに芥子ほどを口へ入れても、たちまち悶え苦しんで死ぬと聞けば、尾を裂いて山椒を入れよというのに勝るであろう。また誤って小蛇を飲み込んで悶乱して、死のうとした者に、串柿を煎じて服用させたところ、速やかに治ったという。この物もまた蛇が恐れることが知られている。霜柿でも同じ効果である。これらにも煙草の脂を用いればますますよろしいであろう。▲蛇に巻き

and suffering from dizziness and fever, mix tobacco tar with fine alum powder and make into pills to administer. In rural areas, I hear that sometimes snakes accidentally enter women's genitals causing distress. If such a time occurs, one must not carelessly try to pull it out. Since the scales catch backward making it difficult to emerge, this would be worse.
