ゆゑとも知がたきには。前の雷震死（らいしんし）
の治法にて救（すくふ）べし。薬物を多く蓄（たくはへ）
蔵（おき）たる室（ところ）。または密器（きのもらぬもの）に芳烈品（きのつよきもの）を納（いれ）
おきたる蓋（ふた）をあけて。にはかに其気にあた
りて死ぬるものあり。それらは。醋（す）を頭面
へ濯（そゝぎ）かけ。又は口中にたらしこみて蘇（よみがへ）る
ものあり。よく心得べきことなり▲阿片（あへん）
または阿芙蓉（あふよう）といふものは。麻剤（まざい）と云て。
たとへば酒（さけ）に酔（よふ）て。精神（こゝろ）の乱（みだる）るがごとく。
又は眼（め）口 鼻（はな）などをふさぎて。ものいふことも。
視（み）ることも聴（きく）こともならぬやうにするが
ことく。また手足を縛（しばり）て動（うご）くこともな
らぬやうにするやうなる効能（こうのう）のある
薬にて。その功能（こうのう）をよく弁（わきまへ）知（しり）てつかは
ねばならぬものにて。用法いたつて巧者（こうしや）
ならねば。いたづらに害（かい）となるのみにて。病
に益（えき）なし。この物を用れは。咳嗽（せき）はたゞち
にやみ。痛（いたみ）は其まゝ軽（かろ）くなり。睡（ぬむり）かぬる
ものもよくねむるがゆゑに。近来（きんらい）薄情（はくじやう）
なる和蘭（おらんだ）毉者（いしや）が。一時の効（こう）をとり。人を
駭（おどろかし）て。後の妨害（さまたげ）となることを顧（かへりみ）ず。これを
用たるが。そのまゝに睡（ねむり）て覚（さめ）ず。又は眼（まなこ）昏（くらみ）て
物の視分（みわけ）なく。やがて昏憒（ふさぎ）て覚（さめ）す。
または頭痛（づつう）。眩運（めまひ）。耳鳴（みみなり）。面赤（かほあか）く。或（あるひ）は周（しう）
身（しん）痒（かゆく）して堪（たへ）がたく。甚しきは。精神（こゝろ）錯乱（みだれ）
譫語（うはこといひ）。或は脉（みやく）遅（おそく）渋（しぶり）。腰（こし）脚（あし）冷（ひえ）て。腹（はら）拘掌（ひきつり）。遂（つひ）
には卒中風（そつちうふう）の如くになりてそのまゝ死（しぬ）る
なり。もしかゝる證（しよう）のおこるとき。この物（くすり）
を用たる害（がい）なることを確（たしか）に知（しら）ば。はやく
吐（はか）する剤（くすり）を用て吐（はか）しめ。鼻（はな）には嚏薬（くさめぐすり）を
吹こみて。くさめをさすべし。吐薬は前の
く【くの横に長四角】の部（ぶ）霍乱（くわくらん）の條（ところ）に記（しるし）たるを見あは
すべし。嚏（くさめ）薬はら【らの横に長四角】の部 雷震死（らいしんし）の條（でう）に
挙（あげ）おきたるにて撰（ゑらぶ）べし。醋（す）と。麝香（じやかう）。よ
く此物の毒を解（げ）すといへど。麝香は近
来 偽雑（まじり）多くして。効（こう）少ければ。醋を多
くのませたるがよし。瞑眩（めんけん）の軽（かろ）き物
には。吐薬を用るまでにいたらず。たゞ醋（す）

原因も分からないものには、前の雷震死の治法で救うべきである。薬物を多く蓄え貯蔵した部屋、または密閉容器に香りの強いものを入れて保管している蓋を開けて、突然その気にあたって死ぬ者がある。それらは、酢を頭や顔に注ぎかけ、また口中に垂らし込んで蘇生する者がある。よく心得るべきことである。
▲阿片または阿芙蓉というものは、麻酔剤と言って、例えば酒に酔って精神が乱れるように、また眼・口・鼻などを塞いで、話すことも、見ることも聞くこともできないようにするように、また手足を縛って動くこともできないようにするような効能のある薬で、その機能をよく理解して使わなければならないもので、用法が極めて巧妙でなければ、いたずらに害となるのみで、病気に益はない。この物を用いれば、咳はただちに止み、痛みはそのまま軽くなり、眠れない者もよく眠るゆえに、近来薄情な
