現代語訳

中山先王の廟

天使館から先王廟まで二里ほどである。天使館の東に天妃宮がある。宮の前に方形の沼池がある。池を過ぎて東北に堤に沿って行くこと半里足らずで、泉崎橋がある。橋のそばに孔廟がある。廟の東から数百歩行き、北に折れて長虹堤となる。堤の長さは二里ほどに及ぶ。下に七つの水門を作り、潮の流れを通している。《註：堤のそばに小石山があり、七星山と名づけられている。七つの石が砂田の中に離れて立っている。》

堤が尽きて北に折れて、安里橋となる。《註：この場所の地名を安里というので、故にこう名づけられた。汪録では真玉橋と作るが誤りである。別に真玉橋があり、豊見城の北、玉潮の上にある。》橋を過ぎて東に折れると、すなわち中山先王廟がある。廟の前は松岡が数重になっており、左右に流澗がある。幅は一丈ほどで、環状に注いで安里橋の下から海に入る。廟の前の石路は方広である。左右に木坊と下馬石碑を立てている。左右に各一つずつ。廟垣は四周に、皆礪石で...

The Ancestral Temple of the Former Kings of Chuzan

It is about two li from the Imperial Envoy's Guesthouse to the Former Kings' Temple. To the east of the guesthouse is the Tianfei Temple. In front of the temple is a square pond. After crossing the pond and traveling northeast along the embankment for less than half a li, there is Izumizaki Bridge. Beside the bridge is the Confucian temple. Walking several hundred paces east from the temple and turning north, one reaches the Chōkō Embankment. The embankment extends for about two li. Seven water gates are constructed below to allow the tide to flow through. {{Note: Beside the embankment is a small rocky hill called Shichiseisan (Seven Star Mountain). Seven stones stand separately in the sandy fields.}}

Where the embankment ends, turning north, there is Asato Bridge. {{Note: This place is called Asato, hence the name. Wang's record incorrectly writes it as Shingyoku Bridge. There is a separate Shingyoku Bridge located north of Tomigusuku, above Gyokuchō.}} After crossing the bridge and turning east, there is the Chuzan Former Kings' Temple. In front of the temple are pine-covered hills in several layers, with flowing streams on the left and right. The width is about one jō, flowing in a circle and entering the sea below Asato Bridge. The stone path in front of the temple is square and wide. Wooden memorial arches and dismounting stone monuments are erected on the left and right, one each.
