現代語訳

待機する。宣読官は従容として読み終える。通事官が「焚帛」と唱える。世曽孫は衆官を率いて皆平身し、焚帛の所に至って待機する。焚き終えて露台に戻り、衆官と同じく謝恩し、三跪九叩頭する。礼が終わって班を退く。世曽孫は先王尚貞の神主を捧げ、廟の東辺の門から廟内に入り、東偏の神座に安置する。世曽孫はまた先王尚益の神主を捧げて位に就く。天使はまた「諭祭先王尚益」の文を取り、捧軸官に授ける。前儀の通りである。

諭祭文二通は、皆別に謄録する。焚黄原勅は、皆廟中に留めて供えることを請う。

諭祭の礼が終わって、天使は服を着替える。世曽孫は揖して東庁に至り、相見の礼を行う。《割書：世曽孫は冊封を受けるまでは、なお幕次を守る。この時に至って初めて使臣と相見する。七宴はここから始まる。張学礼の記に、始めて至って迎風宴があるとあるが、これは誤りである。》天使は東に居り、世曽孫は西に居る。各々三拝し、座を送り茶を奉じ終えて、前堂に就いて宴することを請う。天使は左に行き、世曽孫は右に行って前堂に至る。天使は東に居り、世曽孫は西に居て安座する。正使は東に居り、副使は西に居り、俱に南面して座る。世曽孫は東北に面して座る。楽を設けない。茶酒は皆親しく献ずる。天使は辞す。天使の酬献もまた辞す。席が終わって、天使に請うて輿で滴水前に至る。世曽孫は階を下りて揖して別れる。衆官は門を出て跪いて送る。

世曽孫はこの日、館に詣でて謝することが及ばず、先に官を遣わして館に至らせて謝労させる。天使も次の日、また官を遣わして王城に入らせて宴を謝させる。これを第一宴とする。

諭祭先王の文《割書：二通》

They wait. The proclamation-reading official reads through to completion in a composed manner. The interpreter official calls out "Burn the silk." The great-great-grandson leads the assembled officials, all rising, and proceeds to the silk-burning site to wait. After the burning is completed, they return to the open terrace, and together with the assembled officials give thanks, performing three kneelings and nine kowtows. When the ceremony ends, they withdraw from formation. The great-great-grandson carries the spirit tablet of Former King Shō Tei, enters the temple through the gate on the eastern side of the temple, and places it on the spirit seat on the eastern side. The great-great-grandson again carries the spirit tablet of Former King Shō Eki and places it in position. The Imperial Envoy again takes the text "Imperial Sacrifice to Former King Shō Eki" and presents it to the scroll-bearing official. This follows the previous ceremony.

The two imperial sacrificial texts are both separately transcribed. The original imperial edict on yellow paper is all requested to be kept and offered in the temple.

When the imperial sacrificial ceremony concludes, the Imperial Envoy changes clothes. The great-great-grandson bows and proceeds to the eastern hall to perform the ceremony of formal meeting. 《Marginal note: Until the great-great-grandson receives investiture, he still maintains the curtained quarters. Only at this point does he first meet with the imperial envoys. The seven banquets begin from here. Zhang Xueli's record states that upon first arrival there was a "welcome wind banquet," but this is incorrect.》 The Imperial Envoy sits in the east, the great-great-grandson sits in the west. Each performs three bows, seats are arranged, and tea is served. After completion, they request to proceed to the front hall for a banquet. The Imperial Envoy goes left, the great-great-grandson goes right, and they arrive at the front hall. The Imperial Envoy sits in the east, the great-great-grandson sits peacefully in the west. The chief envoy sits in the east, the deputy envoy sits in the west, both facing south. The great-great-grandson sits facing northeast. No music is arranged. Tea and wine are all personally offered. The Imperial Envoy declines. The Imperial Envoy's reciprocal offering is also declined. When the banquet ends, they request the Imperial Envoy to travel by palanquin to Tekisui-mae. The great-great-grandson descends the steps, bows, and takes leave. The assembled officials exit the gate and kneel in farewell.

The great-great-grandson, unable to visit the envoys' quarters to give thanks on this day, first sends an official to the quarters to express gratitude for their labor. The Imperial Envoy also sends an official the next day to enter the royal castle to give thanks for the banquet. This is designated as the First Banquet.
