皇帝が勅して使者に命じて、汝ら国王及び妃に縀疋・綵帛を賜わせる。引礼官が国王を引いて東階により上がる。法司官が随行する。国王が受賜予位に至って跪く。楽を奏する。天使が取って王に賜い、及び王妃に賜う。縀疋を一つ一つ親ら国王に授ける。国王が高く挙げる。法司官が跪いて受け取り伝えて案の上に置き終わって、俯伏し、起きて平身する。引礼官が国王を引いて位に復す。衆官を率いて三跪九叩頭謝賜の礼を行い終わって、平身する。楽が止む。引礼官が国王を引いて東階に上がり、竜亭の前に至る。跪いて「聖躬万福なりや」と問う。天使が答えて「聖躬万福」と言う。国王が俯伏し、起きて平身する。楽を奏する。引礼官が国王を引いて位に復す。衆官を率いて三跪九叩頭問安の礼を行い終わって、平身する。楽が止む。引礼官が国王を引いて東階に上がり、香案の前に至って跪き、詔勅を留めて伝国の宝とすることを請う。法司官が前代の詔勅を捧げて呈験する。天使が験明して請う所を允す。亭中の詔勅を捧げて、親ら国王に授ける。国王が平身し、そのまま亭中に奉安する。楽を奏する。引礼官が国王を引いて位に復す。衆官を率いて三跪九叩頭謝恩の礼を行い終わる。国王が天使に更衣を請う。ともに北宮に移って対拝し、安坐して茶を献ずる。一に前儀の如くす。楽を用いるに人声が上に居り、鐘鼓が下階に列して迭に奏する。第二宴となす。

冊封の詔

The Emperor issues an edict commanding the envoy to bestow silk fabrics and colored silks upon you, the King and Queen. The ceremony guide leads the King up via the eastern stairs. The Legal Affairs official accompanies them. The King arrives at the position for receiving imperial gifts and kneels. Music is performed. The Imperial Envoy takes the gifts to bestow upon the King, as well as gifts for the Queen. He personally hands the silk fabrics one by one to the King. The King raises them high. The Legal Affairs official kneels to receive and relay them, placing them on the table, then prostrates himself, rises, and assumes standing position. The ceremony guide leads the King back to his position. Leading the officials, he performs the ceremony of three kneelings and nine kowtows to express gratitude for the gifts, and after completion, assumes standing position. The music stops. The ceremony guide leads the King up the eastern stairs to arrive before the dragon palanquin. He kneels and inquires, "Is the Sacred Person in good health?" The Imperial Envoy responds, "The Sacred Person is in good health." The King prostrates himself, rises, and assumes standing position. Music is performed. The ceremony guide leads the King back to his position. Leading the officials, he performs the ceremony of three kneelings and nine kowtows for inquiring after the Emperor's well-being, and after completion, assumes standing position. The music stops. The ceremony guide leads the King up the eastern stairs to arrive before the incense table, where he kneels and requests to retain the edict and imperial decree as treasures to be passed down through generations. The Legal Affairs official presents the edicts and decrees from previous generations for verification. The Imperial Envoy examines and confirms them, granting the request. He takes up the edict and imperial decree from the pavilion and personally hands them to the King. The King assumes standing position and thereupon reverently places them in the pavilion. Music is performed. The ceremony guide leads the King back to his position. Leading the officials, he performs the ceremony of three kneelings and nine kowtows to express gratitude for the imperial grace, and after completion. The King requests that the Imperial Envoys change their attire. Together they proceed to the North Palace for mutual prostrations, sit comfortably, and tea is offered. Everything follows the previous ceremony. When music is used, vocal performers are positioned above, while bells and drums are arranged below the stairs, playing in alternation. This constitutes the second banquet.
