現代語訳

嘉すべきである。特に正使翰林院検討海宝、副使翰林院編修徐葆光を遣わし、勅を持参させ、汝を琉球国中山王として封じ、並びに汝及び妃に文幣等の物を賜う。汝は謹んで寵眷を承け、勉めて先猷を継ぎ、臣民を輯和し、慎んで封守を固くし、もって宗社を苞桑に安んじ、永く天家の屛翰となれ。慎むべきである。朕の命に替うることなかれ。故に諭す。

英語訳

commendable. I specially dispatch Chief Envoy Hai Bao of the Hanlin Academy and Vice Envoy Xu Baoguang, Compiler of the Hanlin Academy, bearing this edict to invest you as King of Chuzan of the Ryukyu Kingdom, and also bestow upon you and your consort silk fabrics and other goods. You shall respectfully receive this imperial favor, diligently continue your ancestors' virtuous ways, harmonize your subjects and people, carefully maintain your territorial defenses, thereby securing your ancestral temples as firm as mulberry roots, and forever serve as a shield and support for the imperial house. Be reverent! Do not fail to carry out my commands. Therefore I issue this edict.
