現代語訳

彪にあらず。熊にあらず羆にあらず。王者の瑞獣と。対句は無し。これは久米の人が設けたものである。

使館の東、下天妃宮の前で、沼池の内に仮山を作った。紙を切って白鶴を作った。池上に大松一株を切って地中に立てた。上にまた一白鶴を作り、飛び鳴いて相向かう状のようにした。四囲を紙皮で仮山を作り、花草数十種を羅列してこれを囲んだ。中に一老人二鹿を作り、山に向かって祝寿を呼ぶ状のようにした。これは那覇の人が設けたもの。

East of the envoy's residence, in front of the Lower Tianfei Temple, an artificial mountain was constructed within a pond. Paper was cut to make white cranes. A large pine tree was cut and planted upright in the ground above the pond. On top, another white crane was also made, appearing as if they were flying, calling, and facing each other. Around the perimeter, artificial mountains were made with paper bark, and dozens of varieties of flowers and plants were arranged to surround it. In the center, an old man and two deer were made, appearing as if calling out birthday wishes to the mountain. This was set up by the people of Naha.
