現代語訳

詔勅を宣読し、臣敬を中山王に封じていただきました。蒙縀等の品々を欽賜していただき、並びに妃には綵縀等の物をいただくことを荷蒙いたしました。臣敬は百官を率いて、拝舞叩頭して恩を謝しました。外にも天使に随って請い、詔勅を懇留して伝国の宝とすることをお願いいたしました。天使が前封の巻軸を査験され、聴許して臣に留め付け、一併して珍蔵させていただくことを蒙りました。窃かに思いますに、聖朝は撫柔に意を加えられ、覆載と同じであります。臣敬等はいかでか感激に勝ちましょうや。この為に特に陪臣法司王舅向竜翼、紫金大夫程順則、使者楊天祐、通事蔡文河、副通事鄭元良・蔡墉等を遣わし、表章・土儀を齎捧して京に赴き、恭しく天恩を謝させます。仰ぎ冀くは睿慈が俯して下悃を鑑みてくださいますよう。臣敬は激切屏営の至りに任ずること無く、謹んで上奏して以て聞こし召されるよう申し上げます。

英語訳

[The imperial edicts] were proclaimed, and I, your vassal Kei, was invested as Chuzan King. I had the honor of receiving imperial gifts of python robes and other items, and my consort received colorful silk and other goods. I, your vassal Kei, led all officials in prostrating, dancing, and kowtowing in gratitude. Additionally, I petitioned the Imperial Envoys to allow the imperial edicts to remain as treasures to be passed down through the kingdom. The Imperial Envoys examined the scroll cases from the previous investiture and graciously permitted them to remain with me, to be treasured together with the new ones. I humbly reflect that the Sacred Dynasty extends special care in governing with gentle rule, like the encompassing heaven and earth. How can we vassals not be overwhelmed with gratitude? For this reason, I am specially dispatching retainer ministers: Chief Legal Officer and Royal Uncle-in-law Sho Ryuyoku, Purple-Gold Grandee Tei Junsoku, Envoy Yo Tensuke, Interpreter Sai Bunka, Deputy Interpreters Tei Genryo and Sai Yu, and others, bearing memorial documents and local tribute goods to proceed to the capital to humbly express gratitude for Imperial Grace. I humbly hope that Your Imperial Benevolence will deign to observe our sincere devotion. I, your vassal Kei, am overwhelmed with anxious reverence and respectfully present this memorial to be heard.
