梶枕（かぢまくら）一夜の情 有磯海（ありそうみ）の深心を明し合はゞ此
世の願足なんとて路考が手を取よりそへはさす
が上なき粋（すい）ながら向ふよりは思ふ事のいとふか
く我もまた此人ならではと思ふ心のおもはゆく
詞はなくて銚子取つゝ杯をさし寄れば彼男丁
と請てつゝと干て路考にさす呑ではさしさし
てはのみ合もおさへも二人なれば数々めぐり
逢ふことも結（むすぶ）の神の引合せ夜もはや五つむつ
ごとの雲となり竜とならんと月夜 烏（からす）を心の
せいし互のちぎり浅からずこけるともなく
寝るともなく互の帯の打とけし二つ枕のさゞ
め言いかなる夢を見しかいざしらず

現代語訳
舟の梶を枕にして一夜の情を交わし、有磯海の深い心を明かし合えば、この世の願いは足りるだろうと言って、路考の手を取って寄り添う。さすがに上品な粋人であるが、向こうからの思いも非常に深く、私もまたこの人でなければと思う心が重く、言葉はなくて銚子を取って杯を差し出すと、あの男は丁重に受けてぐっと飲み干して路考に差す。飲んでは差し、差しては飲み合い、抑えることもできず二人なので、数々巡り合うことも結びの神の引き合わせであろう。夜ももう五つ時、睦まじく雲となり竜となろうと、月夜の烏を心の証として、互いの契りは浅くない。起きているともなく寝ているともなく、互いの帯が解けて、二つの枕でささやき合う。いかなる夢を見たのか、さあ分からない。

Taking up the sake flask and offering a cup, the man courteously accepts it, drains it completely, and passes it to Rokō. Drinking and passing, passing and drinking in turn, unable to restrain themselves, being only two people, their numerous encounters must be the work of the god of unions. Night has already reached the fifth hour (around 8-9 PM), and intimately becoming like clouds and dragons, with the moon-lit crow as witness to their hearts, their mutual pledge is not shallow. Neither quite awake nor quite asleep, their obi loosened, they whisper together on their shared pillows. What dreams they saw - who can say?
