注進追々申参数寄屋橋迄
上使被見へ候之注進ニ而用人案内玄関迄罷出

門之両扉開キ候所ニ而地覆際迄出迎
上使之右之方え相進ミ会釈致先立候
現代語訳
【五行目から】
一、本多下総守、松平大蔵少輔が親類詰として参上しており、
同じ部屋にいて互いに挨拶を交わしました。
一、一同に料理が振る舞われました。
一、晒帷子に横麻上下に着替えました。
一、取り持ち坊主

右の者たちが次々と参上しました。
一、上使の御奏者番である松平能登守が参られる旨、用人から
申し聞かされました。
注進が次々と申し参り、数寄屋橋まで
上使がお見えになったとの注進により、用人の案内で玄関まで参り出て
控えておりました。なお一層近くにお見えになるのを承り、門内へ下り待ち受け、
門の両扉を開いたところで、敷居際まで出迎え、
上使の右の方へ進み出て会釈をし、先立ちました。

[From the fifth line]
1. Honda Shimōsa-no-kami and Matsudaira Ōkura-shōyū were present as family representatives,
staying in the same room and exchanging greetings with each other.

These individuals arrived one after another.
1. The steward informed us that the imperial envoy's chamberlain, Matsudaira Noto-no-kami, would be coming.
Reports came one after another, and when we received word that
the imperial envoy had been sighted at Sukiya Bridge,
I went out to the entrance hall guided by the steward and waited there. Upon hearing that he was approaching even closer, I descended into the gate area to wait and receive him.
With both gate doors opened, I went out to meet him at the threshold,
advanced to the right side of the imperial envoy, bowed respectfully, and led the way.
