放屁論後編自序
倭学先生（わがくせんせい）曰（いはく）。夜（よる）はおよるの上略（じやうりやく）
にて。昼（ひる）とは諸人（しよにん）目を寤（さま）せば。小便
をたれ屁を撒（ひる）故（ゆへ）。夜昼（よるひる）の倭訓（わくん）
起（おこ）れり。或は鯨（くしら）浅き所（ところ）に寐入たる

現代語訳

放屁論後編自序
倭学先生が言うには、「夜」は「およる」の上略であり、「昼」とは諸人が目を覚ませば小便をたれ屁を放るゆえに、夜昼の和訓が起こったのである。或いは鯨が浅い所に寝入ったる
