現代語訳
松平伊賀守様御家来中山礼左衛門へ頼み込んだ始末が不詳につき、続いて御奉行所御裁許で押込を仰せ付けられた。これについては上への義理として御伺い筋を仰せ達しになった次第に至り、容易でない事柄で勘弁もなく、軽率にも御名目を汚すことに関わった事は厳重に仰せ付けられるべきところ、昨日押込を免ぜられた旨を御奉行所において戸田日向守様が直接仰せ渡しになり事が済み、その上摂津守様からも申し達され、御仁恵の次第があり、あれこれもって御憐愍を加えられ、御宛行のうち四俵を御取り上げ、高十八俵二人扶持御供方御徒士を仰せ付けられた。もっとも御祐筆勤めは免ぜられた。この上は諸事謹慎を専一として心がけるべきである。今後は御徒士頭支配

英語訳
[the matter] he requested of Nakayama Reizaemon, retainer of Lord Matsudaira Iga-no-kami, was unclear in its details, and consequently he was ordered to house confinement by the magistrate's office ruling. Regarding this matter, as a matter of propriety to his superiors, it reached the point where formal inquiry procedures were initiated, and since this was no trivial matter without possibility of clemency, his reckless involvement in a matter that tarnished the lord's reputation should have resulted in severe punishment. However, yesterday his house confinement was lifted, as Lord Toda Hyūga-no-kami personally announced at the magistrate's office, concluding the matter. Furthermore, Lord Settsu-no-kami also conveyed his benevolent consideration, and through various acts of compassion, four hyō were confiscated from his stipend allocation, and he was appointed as ashigaru foot soldier for escort duty with a stipend of 18 hyō and provisions for two people. His secretary duties were, of course, terminated. Henceforth, he must focus primarily on maintaining discretion in all matters. He will be under the supervision of the ashigaru head going forward.
