There was such [misconduct], and regarding his case as well, there was impropriety during his previous service, which was extremely negligent. Therefore, part of his formal stipend allocation was revoked, and he was appointed to ashigaru foot soldier rank with a stipend of 16 hyō and provisions for two people, assigned to alternate duty.

- 1st day, 7th month, Tenpō 6 (1835): Appointed to hired monk duties and inner service apprenticeship, granted assistance provisions for one person.
- 13th day, intercalary 4th month, Tenpō 9 (1838): Inherited deceased father Shichirōbei's position with stipend of 17 hyō and provisions for two people, appointed to assist in escort duties at ashigaru rank under the supervision of the ashigaru captain.
- 28th day, 12th month, Tenpō 11 (1840): Since the complete transmission scrolls of the Ōtsubo school were lost in a fire, consulted with Takada Sadaemon and helped with copying efforts, for which he was granted 100 mon in gold.
- 3rd day, 2nd month, Tenpō 12 (1841): Appointed to Edo garrison duty. Having served previously, ordered to depart as soon as preparations were complete, with the understanding of specializing in inner monk assistance during garrison duty.
