六十六部は世間になふても事かけず医者と金銀
は世間になふてかなはぬもの金銀の悪（わる）かねは石（いし）にて
見る医者の悪腸（わるわた）は人の眼鏡（めがね）にて見る是第一病
家の用心あるべきことなりと声はりあげ机（つくゑ）を叩（たゝき）
いきまきて談（だん）じける所に勝手（かつて）より山の神間（かみあい）の
障子（しやうじ）をさらりとあけて又 糞得斎（ふんとくさい）の我（われ）しりがほ
の講談（こうだん）勝手（かつて）にてきけばはあ〳〵とおもふて気（き）が升（のほ）
りて頭痛（づつう）かする皆（みな）若（わか）い諸生衆（しよせいしゆ）あのやうなる講談（こうだん）
を聞（きい）て心内（しんない）に秘（ひ）して居（い）るゝともかならず世間（せけん）に
出ていひひろめらるゝなあれにては医者ははやら
ぬぞよ第一 薬店（やくてん）ににくまれて通（かよひ）がつかゆるたとへ
元禄年中の人参が今あればとて五十年以前
の古黴（ふるかび）たもの薬力（やくりき）があるべきか其上（そのうへ）金銀を車（くるま）に
積（つん）でもないものはないにして馬（むま）のないとき牛（うし）と
いふ水（みづ）なき里山坂（さとやまさか）に渇（かつ）しては梅（むめ）といふ名（な）を聞（きい）て
も口中（こうちう）に津（つ）がたまりて喉（のんど）をうるほすためしも
あり大切至極（たいせつしごく）の親（おや）の今（いま）死（し）なれては跡（あと）はいかゞせん
現代語訳
このような類の医者がいるのは、六十六部の中に護摩の灰があるようなものだ。六十六部は世間になくても事欠かないが、医者と金銀は世間になくては叶わないものである。金銀の悪貨は石で見分けることができ、医者の悪い腹の内は人の眼鏡（判断力）で見分けることができる。これが第一に病家が用心すべきことである」と声を張り上げ、机を叩いて憤激して談じていた所に、勝手口から山の神間の障子をさらりと開けて、また糞得斎が現れた。
「私の知ったかぶりの講談を勝手口で聞けば、はあはあと思って気が上って頭痛がする。皆、若い諸生衆よ、あのような講談を聞いて心の内に秘めて居るとも、必ず世間に出て言い広められる。あれでは医者は流行らないぞ。第一、薬店に憎まれて取引が滞る。たとえ元禄年中の人参が今あったとしても、五十年以前の古い黴の生えたもので薬力があるだろうか。その上、金銀を車に積んでもないものはないのだから、馬のない時は牛というように、水なき里山坂で渇いては梅という名を聞いても口中に唾が溜まって喉を潤すという例もある。大切至極の親が今死んでしまっては、後はどうしようか。
