右の者たちが板縁において拝礼を奉ずる。台顔（将軍の顔）を拝し、御太刀目録を御奏者番が披露して退去する。これが終わって御間の御襖障子を開き、御敷居際に立つ。御譜代大名その他一同が御目見を済ませて入御する。

一　大御所様への献上物については隠岐守が謁見する。年寄共が殿上の間に相越し、具志川と会釈を交わす。則ち退座する。その後

These individuals perform prostrations at the wooden veranda. They have an audience with the shogun (literally "viewing the noble countenance"), the goshōsha-ban presents the tachi sword catalog, and they withdraw. After this is completed, the sliding doors of the audience chamber are opened, and they stand at the threshold. The hereditary daimyo and all others complete their audience and enter.
