　付弐人案内に而二之間諸大夫御譜
　代大名前西へ向着坐

　右出坐御下段御敷居之内に而
　御目見御奏者番披露之御下
　段上より四畳目迄被　召出之今度
　琉球之使者遠路召連太義被
　思召之段　上意有之年寄共御取
　合申上之御次え退坐于時右近将監
　召之具志川御前へ可罷出之旨被
　仰出之於御次　御諚之趣薩摩
　守へ右近将監達之

現代語訳

付き二人が案内して、二之間の諸大夫御譜代大名の前、西へ向かって着坐する

右の者が出坐し、御下段の御敷居の内にて御目見得、御奏者番が披露する。御下段の上より四畳目まで召し出され、「今度琉球の使者を遠路召し連れ、大義と思し召される段」について上意があり、年寄共が御取り合い申し上げ、御次へ退坐する。この時、右近将監を召し、具志川が御前へ参り出るべき旨を仰せ出される。御次において、御諚の趣を薩摩守へ右近将監が達する。

英語訳

Two attendants provide guidance, and [Satsuma-no-kami] takes his seat facing west, in front of the hereditary daimyo holding the rank of shōdaibu in the second chamber.

The aforementioned person comes forward to be seated, has an audience within the threshold of the lower platform, and the goshōsha-ban makes the announcement. [The Ryukyu delegation] is summoned from above the lower platform to the fourth tatami mat. There is a shogunal statement saying "This time, having the Ryukyu envoys accompany [you] over the long distance is considered meritorious." The rōjū (senior councilors) confer about this matter and withdraw to the antechamber. At this time, Ukon-shōgen is summoned, and it is announced that Gushikawa should come forward before [the shogun]. In the antechamber, Ukon-shōgen conveys the purport of the shogunal command to Satsuma-no-kami.
