旨（むね）を答（こた）へしに翌廿九日に彼（かれ）又 來（きた）り先年（せんねん）奥州（おうしう）仙台（せんだい）の者（もの）十三人 漂着（へうちやく）の節（せつ）

その旨を答えたところ、翌二十九日に彼が再び来て、先年奥州仙台の者十三人が漂着した時の書類だと言って出して見せた。その時は船具まで残らず留め置いたが、今度は船具の分は全て持たせて帰すので、必ず私の言う通りにせよと言うので、結局我々の望みは叶わないことだと思って、その言葉に従うことと決めた。
十二月十三日に船の代金として唐銭四貫文を受け取った。このように段大爺には格別に厚い庇護を受けたので、麻の上下を着て通訳を案内として、その家に赴き、芭蕉布十巻、焼酎一壺、紅花一台を贈って礼を述べると、向こうからも丁寧な返礼があった。同十九日には総兵官正三品季大人という者が数多くの兵卒を従えて来て、一通りの検閲を終えて帰って行った。これは彼の国が我が国に対することが鄭重であるため、たとえ漂流人であっても決して等閑にしないために、このように高貴な官人が自ら出張して事を視るのだと聞いたが、かえって煩わしくて、このようなことはない方が良いと思われた。同日段大
