その 次（つぎ）を[びくらばう]その次（つぎ）を[ばるさめ] 又（また）下品（げひん）なる
ものを[ぶくべる]といふ《割書：此方によたか｜などいふもの也》
〇 酒（さけ）ハ[きんぼ] 《割書：俗語｜なり》といふ。 琉球国（りうきうこく）の 属嶋（えだじま）大平山（だひんざん）より
出（いづ）るを[だひんしう] 《割書：太平｜酒》といふ。 紅酒（こうしゆ）あり。《割書：いろ朱のごとくあか｜くして清し神に》
《割書：たてまつる｜に用也》 八重山（やえやま）より 出（いづ）るものを[ミりんしう] 《割書：密林｜酒》といふ。
上噶刺（かんむら）より 出（いづ）るを[あわきぼ] 《割書：粟｜酒》といふ。 薩州（さつしう）にて
砂糖（さとう）あわもりといふもの 是（これ）なり。 右（ミぎ）いつれも 焼酎（せうちう）
にして。此方のごとき酒ハかつてなし。
〇 金銀（きん〴〵）のたぐひ 少（すくな）し。 通用（つうよう）ハ此方より 渡（わた）る 豆銀（まめぎん）
を 専（もは）ら用ゆ。 銭（ぜに）ハ 寛永通宝（くわんえいつうはう）なり。 豆銭（まめぜに）といふ
ものハ。 彼国（かのくに）にて 鋳（ゐ）るところにて。 文字（もじ）も 模様（もやう）も
なし。 輪（わ）もなし。 又花（またはな）の 形（かた）ある 物（もの）も 有（あり）。
〇 彼国（かのくに）の[ぎんとくり]といふ 器（うつわ）あり。 銭（ぜに）を 入（い）るゝ 物（もの）

現代語訳
その次を「びくらばう」、その次を「ばるさめ」、また下品なものを「ぶくべる」という（こちらでいう夜鷹などというものである）。
○酒は「きんぼ」（俗語である）という。琉球国の属島大平山より出るものを「だひんしう」（太平酒）という。紅酒がある（色は朱のように赤くして清らかで、神に奉るのに用いる）。八重山より出るものを「ミりんしう」（密林酒）という。上噶刺より出るものを「あわきぼ」（粟酒）という。薩摩で砂糖泡盛というものはこれである。右のいずれも焼酎であって、こちらのような酒は全くない。
○金銀の類は少ない。通用するのはこちらから渡る豆銀を専ら用いる。銭は寛永通宝である。豆銭というものは、あの国で鋳るところのもので、文字も模様もない。輪もない。また花の形があるものもある。
○あの国の「ぎんとくり」という器がある。銭を入れる物である。形は図のごとし。

The next rank is called "bikurabou," the next "barusame," and the lowest class is called "bukuberu" (these are like what we call "yotaka" [streetwalkers] here).
○ Alcohol is called "kinbo" (this is colloquial language). What comes from Dahinzan, a dependency of the Ryukyu Kingdom, is called "dahinshuu" (Taihei sake). There is red wine (its color is red like vermillion and clear, used for offerings to gods). What comes from Yaeyama is called "mirinshuu" (forest sake). What comes from Kanmura is called "awakibo" (millet sake). What is called "sugar awamori" in Satsuma province is this. All of the above are distilled spirits, and there is no sake like ours at all.
○ Gold and silver are scarce. For currency, they primarily use small silver coins that come from here [Japan]. The coins are Kan'ei Tsūhō. What are called "bean coins" are cast in that country, having no characters or designs. They have no rim either. There are also some shaped like flowers.
○ There is a vessel from that country called "gintokuri." It is something for holding coins. Its shape is as shown in the diagram.
