其神形（そのかたち）身長（ミのたけ）一丈ばかり 白髪（はくはつ）にして 毛（け）をミだせり 眼（め）
大きく光り 電光（いなづま）のごとし身に 黄色（きいろ）なる 衣（きぬ）を 着（き）
足（あし）に 沓（くつ）を 穿（うが）つ 睾丸（きんたま）至つて大きやう也 犢鼻褌（ふんどし）
をもてつゝみ 結（むす）びて 首（くび）にかくる 常（つね）に 水面（すいめん）に出
あそぶ 見（ミ）る 人幸福（ものさいはひ）を 得（う）るとぞ 神影（しんゑい）ハ 国中（こくちう）の
寺院（てら）などに 或（あるひ）ハ 刻（きざ）ミあるひハ 画像（ゑがき）て 尊敬（そんけう）せり
〇 水難（すいなん）をまぬかるゝの 秘符（ひふう）あり
是ハふうなきうの 説（と）きおしゆる

〇彼の国の人は酒宴の席などにて、拳を打つということがある。手を出す様子はこちらの風習と同じであるけれども、言葉はひどく違っている。
一「うんぺい」 二「すんぺい」 三「しんこ」 四「よろう」 五「うんこ」
六「りんこ」 七「しんべい」 八「だんき」 九「きんこ」 十「とうらい」
〇琉球国に祀るところの神
「おうちきう」水伯《割書：ふうなきうとも言う｜水の神なり》
その神の形は、身長一丈ばかり、白髪にして髪の毛を乱している。眼は大きく光り、稲妻のようである。身に黄色の衣を着て、足に靴を履いている。睾丸は至って大きいようである。褌でそれを包み、結んで首にかける。常に水面に出て遊ぶ。見る人は幸福を得るとぞ。神影は国中の寺院などに、あるいは彫刻し、あるいは絵に描いて尊敬している。
〇水難を免れる秘符がある
これはふうなきうの説き教える
ところなりとぞとよくすくの
万明法師夢想にして授也
霊験著しく則ち神影也と

〇The people of that country practice a hand game called "ken" (finger-flashing game) at drinking parties and banquets. The manner of extending their hands is the same as our custom, but the words are very different.

The form of this god: about ten feet tall, with white hair disheveled. His eyes are large and bright, like lightning. He wears yellow robes on his body and shoes on his feet. His testicles are extremely large. He wraps them with a loincloth, ties it, and hangs it around his neck. He constantly emerges on the water surface to play. Those who see him obtain good fortune. Divine images of him are either carved or painted in temples throughout the country and revered.
