しの善人達御主の御上天までは天上せ
らるゝ事叶はざるが故に大地のそこにを
ひて其御出世をまち奉られし人々をめ
し上給はんが為に其所に下り給ひ彼善人
達のあにまを其よりめし出し給ふ者
なり
弟 御主ぜずきりしとの御あにまの下り
給ふ大地のそこと云は何たる所ぞ
師 大地のそこに四様の所あり第一のそこは
ゐんへるのといひ天狗をはじめとして
もるたる科にて死したるざいにん等のゐ
る所也二にはすこし其上にふるかたうりよ
とてからさをはなれずして死る人のあ
にま現世にてはたさゝる科をくりのつ

昔の善人達は御主の御昇天までは天上せられることが叶わなかったが故に、大地の底において其の御出世（復活）を待ち奉られた人々を召し上げ給わんがために、其の所に下り給い、彼善人達の霊魂を其処より召し出し給う者なり。
弟子：御主イエス・キリストの御霊魂の下り給う大地の底と云うのは何たる所でしょうか。
師：大地の底には四様の所があります。第一の底はインフェルノ（地獄）といい、悪魔をはじめとして重たる罪にて死したる罪人等のいる所です。二には少し其の上にプルガトリオ（煉獄）とて、大罪を離れずして死ぬる人の霊魂が現世にて果たさざる罪を清め

The good people of old could not ascend to heaven until our Lord's ascension, so they waited at the bottom of the earth for His resurrection. In order to summon up these people, He descended to that place and called forth the souls of those good people from there.
Disciple: What kind of place is the bottom of the earth to which our Lord Jesus Christ's soul descended?
Master: At the bottom of the earth there are four kinds of places. The first bottom is called Inferno (Hell), which is the place where the devil and other sinners who died with grave sins reside. The second is a little above that, called Purgatorio (Purgatory), where the souls of people who died without separating from mortal sins purify the sins they could not complete in this world.
