現代語訳
る罪を犯そうとの誓いをなせば軽微な罪となるものである。
弟子：用いるべき時とは何事でしょうか。
師：たとえ真実に些細なことに誓文をするといっても、必要でない時に誓いをなすのは、事によって重大な罪にはならずといっても、軽微な罪を犯すことがあってはならない。
弟子：神よりほかに別の物にかけて誓文をすることがありますか。
師：なかなかある。たとえば十字架や聖人達に、又は貴いことにかけて、あるいは我が命に、その外いずれの御作の物にかけて誓いをすることもある。

Master: Indeed there are. For example, one may make oaths invoking the cross or the saints, or invoking noble things, or upon one's own life, or upon any other of God's creations.
