師 でうすの御おきてに随てわか身の為に
のぞむほどのよき事をほろしもに対し
てものぞむべき者也
弟 でうすの御おきてにしたがつてとはいかな
る事ぞ
師 こゝにしさいありでうすの御おきてにそ
むきてほろしもの為に何事なりとも
のぞむときんばたとひ我身の為にの
ぞましき事なりと云ともわか身の
ごとくにほろしもをおもふにはあらず
たゝわか身をにくむごとくにほろしも
をにくむ事也

現代語訳
師：デウス（神）の御掟に従って、我が身の為に望むほどの良き事を、隣人に対しても望むべき者である。
弟子：デウス（神）の御掟に従ってとは、どのような事でしょうか。
師：ここに詳細があるが、デウス（神）の御掟に背いて隣人の為に何事なりとも望む時は、たとえ我が身の為に望ましき事なりと云っても、我が身のごとくに隣人を思うにはあらず。ただ我が身を憎むごとくに隣人を憎む事である。

Master: According to the commandments of Deus (God), one should desire for one's neighbor the same good things that one desires for oneself.
Disciple: What does it mean to follow the commandments of Deus (God)?
Master: Here lies the detail: when one desires anything for one's neighbor while transgressing against the commandments of Deus (God), even if it seems desirable for oneself, this is not truly loving one's neighbor as oneself. Rather, it is hating one's neighbor just as one hates oneself.
