まじき為又御主よりそくさい財宝を
与へ給ふ為に大きなるたよりとなる也
弟 もるたる科をゆるさるゝ道はいかん
師 科はでうすに対し奉りてのらうぜき
なるによてそれをくひかなしひ以後二度
をかすまじきとおもひさだめやがてこん
ひさんを申へきかくごをもて科をくひか
なしむ事是こんちりさんとて科を
ゆるさるゝ道也
弟 べにあるとがとは何事ぞ
師 もるたるとがよりもかろきとが也是即でう
すのがらさをうしなはすと云へどもでう
すの御大切と御奉公にすゝむ心をゆるか
せになすが故にもるたるとがのはしとな
現代語訳
まじき為、また御主よりそくさい（即座）財宝を与え給う為に大きなる頼りとなるのである。
弟子：大罪を許される道はいかん。
師：罪は神に対し奉りての冒瀆であるによって、それを悔い悲しみ、以後二度と犯すまじきと思い定め、やがて告解を申すべき覚悟をもって罪を悔い悲しむ事、これを痛悔といって、罪を許される道である。
弟子：小罪とは何事ぞ。
師：大罪よりも軽き罪である。これは即ち神の恩寵を失わせはしないと云えども、神の御大切と御奉公に進む心を緩やかにする故に、大罪の橋となる

Disciple: What is the way to have mortal sins forgiven?
Master: Sin is an offense against God, therefore one must grieve and sorrow for it, resolve never to commit it again, and be prepared to make confession - grieving and sorrowing for sin with this attitude is called contrition, and this is the way sins are forgiven.
Disciple: What are venial sins?
Master: They are sins lighter than mortal sins. Although they do not cause us to lose God's grace, they make our hearts lukewarm toward God's love and service, and thus become a bridge to mortal sin.
