れ〳〵に其おもかげはまつたくうつるがご
とくなり
弟 ぜずきりしとの御たけはよのつねの人
ほどましませしにちいさきをすちやには
何としてまつたくこもり給ふぞや
師 此はかりましまさぬさからめんとはなつ
うらの上のみすてりよなるをしゐてわき
まへんとするはいらざるのぞみ也たゝ深き
へりくだりを以て信じ奉る事専也然り
といへ共右のかゝみのたとへを以てすこし
なり共わきまへらるべし右に云へるごと
くかゝみのわれはちいさき物なれ共それに
うつる物は人のたけほど成物は云に及ばず
たいさんにてもあれのこらずうつる者也な

れ々にその面影は完全に映るがごとくなり。
弟子：イエス・キリストの御身長は世の常の人ほどでましたのに、小さきホスチアには何として完全にお籠もり給うのでしょうか。
師：これは計り知ることのできぬ秘跡の奥深きミステリオ（神秘）なるを、強いて理解しようとするのは無用の望みである。ただ深き謙遜を以て信じ奉ることが肝要である。しかりと言えども、右の鏡の例えを以て少しなりとも理解できるであろう。右に言えるごとく、鏡の欠けは小さき物なれども、それに映る物は人の身長ほどの物は言うに及ばず、泰山であってもあれ残らず映るものである。な

Disciple: Jesus Christ's height was that of an ordinary person, so how can He be contained completely in a small Host?
Master: This is an unfathomable mystery (mysterio) of the sacrament, and to forcibly try to understand it is an unnecessary desire. It is essential to simply believe with deep humility. However, with the mirror analogy mentioned above, one can understand it somewhat. As stated above, though a fragment of a broken mirror may be small, what is reflected in it - not only something as tall as a person, but even Mount Tai - can be reflected completely without anything missing.
