給はずと申事ましまさんやただし此
たとへを以ても有のまゝにはあらはしがた
し其故はかゝみには其おもかげのみうつる
といへ共をすちやには御主の御正体悉く
ぢきにうつりまします者也
弟 此さからめんとを善き様にうけ奉る為
に何事をか仕るべきや
師 もるたる科をゝかしたる者ならばなに
たる科なり共いまだそれをこんひさんに
申さぬにをひては深きこうくはいを以てさん

自然の道理でさえこのようであるのに、全能の神でいらっしゃる主イエス・キリストの御身体などが、お思いのままに小さきホスチアにお籠もり給うことがお叶いにならないということがあろうか。ただし、この例えを以てしても、ありのままには表し難い。その理由は、鏡にはその面影のみが映ると言えども、ホスチアには御主の御正体がすべて直接に映りいらっしゃるものであるからだ。
弟子：この秘跡をよく理解して受け奉るために、何をなすべきでしょうか。
