ふしやうなるはうしきたりと云へ共其国
の為にはぶねうのもとい也其如くでうす
より授け給ふ御おきてもあまねく人の徳
と成べき事をはかりたまひ理に随てさだめ
をき給ふ者也このまちりもうによのさから
めんとを以て何れも人皆深き徳を得と云へ
共其内にも理にもれあまきをきらひにが
きをこのむ者もせう〳〵是有べし
弟 たゝ今の理をうけ給はりてより分別を明め
申なり今又なを心のうたがひをはらし申
べき為の事をたづね申べし右の分な
るにをひてはたとひ其おとこか又をんなか身
持らんぎやうにして御おきてにも随は
ず別につまをたいするか又さはなしと云へ
現代語訳
不承なる法式たりと云えども、その国の為には武運の基なり。その如くデウスより授け給う御掟も、あまねく人の徳と成るべき事を計り給い、理に随いて定め置き給う者なり。このマトリモニオの禁を以て何れも人皆深き徳を得と云えども、その内にも理に漏れ、甘きを嫌い苦きを好む者も少々これ有るべし。」
弟子「ただ今の理を受け給わりてより分別を明め申すなり。今また猶心の疑いを晴らし申すべき為の事を尋ね申すべし。右の分なるにおいては、たとい其男か又女か身持ち乱行にして御掟にも随わず、別に妻を帯するか又然らずと云え
英語訳
"Even though it may be an unacceptable law, it serves as the foundation of military fortune for that country. Likewise, the divine commandments bestowed by Deus are established by calculating what would bring virtue to all people universally, following reason in their establishment. Through the prohibition of matrimony, all people gain deep virtue, though among them there may be a few who go against reason, disliking what is sweet and preferring what is bitter."
Disciple: "Having received this reasoning just now, I shall clarify my understanding. Now I shall ask about matters that will further dispel the doubts in my heart. Regarding the aforementioned matter, even if that man or woman conducts themselves in a dissolute manner, does not follow the divine commandments, and separately takes a spouse or not..."
