一体をおがみたつとひ奉らずしては後生の
御たすけにあづかる事さらになし又此
後生の道はきりしたんの御おきてのみ
にきはまる也それによてきりしたんに
ならずんば後生を扶事有へからずと
分別しぬ
師 人間の事をば何と分別せられけるぞ
弟 人間は色身計にあらずはつる事なき
あにまを持也○此あにまは色身に命を与へ
たとひ色身は土はいとなると云とも此あ
にまはをはる事なしたゝ善悪に随て後生
のくらくにあづかる者也
師 よく分別せられたり☩かてきずもの談儀
のことはりより外にもきりしたんの知
現代語訳
一体を拝み崇め奉らなくては、後生の御救いにあずかることは全くない。また、この後生への道はキリシタンの御掟のみに限られる。それゆえ、キリシタンにならなければ後生を助かることはないと理解した。
師：人間のことをどのように理解されたか。
弟子：人間は肉体だけではなく、失われることのないアニマ（霊魂）を持っています。○このアニマは肉体に命を与え、たとえ肉体は土灰となるといっても、このアニマは終わることがない。ただ善悪に従って後生の報いを受ける者です。

If one does not worship and revere this one being, there is absolutely no way to receive salvation in the afterlife. Moreover, this path to the afterlife is limited only to the Christian teachings. Therefore, I understood that without becoming a Christian, there can be no salvation in the afterlife.

Disciple: Human beings are not merely physical bodies, but possess an anima (soul) that never perishes. ○This anima gives life to the physical body, and even though the physical body may turn to dust and ashes, this anima never ends.
