弟 にくしんをてきと云は何事ぞ
師 うけつゝく初の科によて悪き生得の此
色身を云也其上みづからをかしたる科に
よてあしきくせのじうまんしたる所
をさしてかく名付也
弟 此色身は何とてんたさんをすゝむるぞ
師 身にある悪き生得と悪きくせを以て科
にかたふくる者也
弟 其悪き生得とあくへきは何事ぞ
師 心中におこるみだりなるのぞみ也是即心を
くらまして悪を見知ぬ様にする者也其
と云は身の深きのぞみとたのもしき
とあいするとにくむとよろこびとかな
しみとをそれといかりなどの事也
現代語訳
弟子 肉身を敵と言うのは何事ですか。
師 受け継いだ最初の罪によって悪い生来の性質を持つこの肉体を言うのです。その上、自らが犯した罪によって悪い癖が充満した所を指してこのように名付けるのです。
弟子 この肉体はどのように誘惑を勧めるのですか。
師 身にある悪い生来の性質と悪い癖をもって罪に傾かせる者です。
弟子 その悪い生来の性質と悪癖とは何事ですか。
師 心中に起こるみだらな欲望です。これはすなわち心を暗ませて悪を見分けられないようにする者です。その欲望というのは、身の深い欲望と、頼もしさと、愛することと、憎むことと、喜びと、悲しみと、恐れと、怒りなどのことです。
