弟 それはなき所より作り給ふといふべきには
あらずかへつて御身のそんたいより作給ふ
とこそ見えたれ御分別の内に持給ふさ
しづより作り給へば也
師 右のことはりを分別有にをひては今の
ふしんはあきらかにひらくべし其故は
右のたとへに申せしごとくだいくはい
ゑのさしづに応じていゑを作ると云へ
ども外に出来るいゑはだいくの体には
あらず又其だいくもざいもくなくして
あれとおもふ計をもていゑを作る事か
なふにをひては真に其いゑはなき所より作
たると云べし其ごとくでうすは作の物
を御身のさしづに応じて作給ふと云へど
現代語訳
弟子：それは無き所より作り給うと言うべきではなく、かえって御身の存在より作り給うとこそ見えます。御分別の内に持ち給う指図より作り給えばです。
師：右の道理を分別ある者においては今の疑問は明らかに解けるでしょう。その故は、右の例えに申したごとく、大工は家の指図に応じて家を作ると云えども、外に出来る家は大工の体ではありません。また、その大工も材木なくして「あれ」と思うだけをもって家を作ることが叶うにおいては、真にその家は無き所より作ったと云うべきです。その如くデウス（神）は作の物を御身の指図に応じて作り給うと云えども
英語訳
Disciple: That should not be called creating from nothing, but rather appears to be creating from His own being. For He creates from the blueprint that He holds in His understanding.
Master: For those with understanding, this principle will clearly resolve the present doubt. The reason is this: as I explained in the aforementioned analogy, although a carpenter creates a house according to the blueprint of the house, the house that is completed outside is not the carpenter's body. Moreover, if that carpenter could create a house without timber, merely by thinking "let it be," then truly that house should be said to have been made from nothing.
