　就死而不恤也遂与松右衛門谷右衛門孫右衛
　門善右衛門曁宗意等結盟謀叛丁丑季冬修補
　有馬廃城而佔拠之匪徒幾及四万人於是松平
　信綱戸田氏鉄奉
旨督率西国諸軍囲之至戊寅仲春而殲尽匪徒禍
　乱立弭矣夫清国之於準夷金川皆有方略数十
　百巻具録其事以入正史我之寛永剿匪之事件
　比彼準夷金川其事頗相類然則国史亦宜有成
　書而未有焉偶雖有耶蘇天誅記治代普顕記天
　草物語等書而僅々小冊子未足以為尽其事也

て死に就くことも気にかけなかった。ついに松右衛門、谷右衛門、孫右衛門、善右衛門および宗意らと盟約を結んで謀反を企て、丁丑の年の季冬（12月）に有馬の廃城を修築してこれを占拠した。匪徒はほぼ四万人に及んだ。そこで松平信綱、戸田氏鉄が朝廷の命を奉じて西国諸軍を率いてこれを包囲し、戊寅の年の仲春（2月）に至ってついに匪徒を殲滅し、禍乱は収まった。そもそも清国がジュンガル部や金川に対して行った際には、方略を記した書物が数十から数百巻もあり、詳細にその事績を記録して正史に収録している。我が国の寛永年間の匪徒討伐の事件は、かのジュンガルや金川の事件と比べても、その内容は頗る類似している。それならば国史においても成書があってしかるべきなのに、まだそれがない。たまたま『耶蘇天誅記』『治代普顕記』『天草物語』などの書があるけれども、わずかな小冊子に過ぎず、その事績を尽くすには不十分である。

《割書：量令》私はこれを憂いに思い、そこで当時の軍事に関する各家の私録や家譜、また雑書や漫録の中でその事に関わるものがあれば、これを取って補強とし、日を追って編集し記録して、切支丹教匪平定の方略書に擬えようと思う。

and went to their deaths without concern. Finally, they formed an alliance with Matsuemon, Taniemon, Magoemon, Zenemon, and Sōi and others to plot rebellion. In the winter month of the year Teichū (1637), they repaired the abandoned Arima castle and occupied it. The bandits numbered nearly forty thousand. Thereupon Matsudaira Nobutsuna and Toda Ujikane, following imperial orders, led the armies of the western provinces to surround them, and by the second month of spring in the year Boin (1638), they completely annihilated the bandits and the calamitous rebellion was quelled. Now, when the Qing dynasty dealt with the Zunghars and Jinchuan, they had strategic records numbering in the tens to hundreds of volumes, thoroughly documenting these events for inclusion in the official histories. Our campaign against the bandits during the Kan'ei era, when compared to those Zunghar and Jinchuan incidents, bears considerable similarity in nature. Therefore, our national history should also have a complete written record, yet there is none. While there happen to be books such as "Record of Divine Punishment of the Jesuits," "Record of Universal Manifestation of Governance," and "Tales of Amakusa," these are merely small pamphlets, insufficient to fully cover these events.

I compile and record them day by day, intending to create a strategic record of the pacification of the Christian sectarian bandits.
