　々に吉利支丹宗門有之候間鎮めに不図人数

　原え召連来る跡に而又思〳〵に村々所々にて寄
　合を始む候を其所預り之代官聞斗次第会合
　之所へ行打擲いたし絵像を破り追散す
松平氏覚書日又同村にて古その名の角内と申
　百姓こ《見せ消ち：ゑ｜ゑ》いをかけ男女集り拝之尊ひ申により
　十月廿三日に角内を又男女共に八人搦捕右之
　三吉と角内を松倉居城え召寄せ成敗致す也

島原一揆松倉記によると、十月二十三日三吉角内等を島原へ召し連れて来た後で、また思い思いに村々所々で寄り合いを始めるのを、その所を預かる代官が聞くやいなや会合の場所へ行き、打ち叩いて絵像を破り追い散らした。

松平氏覚書によると、また同村で古くからその名の角内という百姓が声をかけ、男女が集まって拝み尊んだため、十月二十三日に角内をまた男女共に八人捕らえた。右の三吉と角内を松倉の居城へ召し寄せ成敗した。

According to the Shimabara Rebellion Matsukura Record, on October 23rd, after bringing Sankichi Kakunai and others to Shimabara, people again began holding gatherings here and there in various villages as they pleased. As soon as the deputies in charge of those places heard of this, they went to the meeting places, struck and beat the people, destroyed religious images, and scattered them.

According to the Matsudaira clan memorandum, also in the same village, a peasant named Kakunai, known from long ago, called out and men and women gathered to worship and revere [Christian objects].
