　林兵左衛門討殺す之注進あり松倉侍共時刻
　を移さす船に而有馬村え押寄有馬村之船着
　迄船を着陸え上らんとする所に有馬村を焼立
　船場迄人数を出し松倉侍共を船ゟ陸え上ず
　して鉄炮に而打防くに付而松倉侍共はかけ合
　之事すはたに而殊更百姓共は大勢松倉侍共

According to the memorandum of the Matsudaira clan, at dawn on October 25th, news arrived at Matsukura's castle that Hayashi Hyōzaemon had been killed. The Matsukura retainers immediately set out by ship to attack Arima village. When they reached the harbor of Arima village and attempted to land, the villagers set fire to Arima village, deployed forces to the wharf area, and prevented the Matsukura retainers from landing by defending with firearms.
