　る在所三会村東空閑村大野村湯口村多比良
　村土黒村此代官近藤源左衛門岡崎伝左衛門
　瀬名七郎右衛門足軽頭長屋助左衛門此四人
　為頭外に花房七郎兵衛生熊助之丞同十大夫
　岡村源太郎以上八人西之門先敵押之為に右
　村々之人数道具を持せ出向ひ敵合三町斗に
　而生熊助之丞只壱人一文字に走出懸る敵是
　を見て助之丞を目かけ四五人かけ出場中に
　而渡合助之丞働といへとも相手大勢成は突
　立られて討死す長屋助左衛門瀬戸七郎右衛

　門生熊か子十大夫続て懸合助之丞を討たる
　敵之内弐人討取依之敵は跡え引退て如此せ
　り合又討れけれ共大勢之敵は懸りもせす鉄
　炮も不打然処に味方に備へたる三会村之者
　共敵え懸るふりして跡へ向ひ鉄炮を打懸る
　山手の一揆と一所に馳かゝる是を見て味方
　に備へたる村々之者共我先と在所之方へ逃
　行依之侍共早々城中へ引籠る
又日水石村半分は南有馬村之一揆にかはる庄
　屋大蔵麾取て代官高橋武右衛門を儻寺え火

る在所は三会村、東空閑村、大野村、湯口村、多比良
村、土黒村である。この代官は近藤源左衛門、岡崎伝左衛門、
瀬名七郎右衛門、足軽頭長屋助左衛門の四人
を頭として、外に花房七郎兵衛、生熊助之丞、同十大夫、
岡村源太郎、以上八人が西の門先で敵が押し寄せるために、右の
村々の人数に道具を持たせて出向かった。敵との合戦で三町ほどの距離で
生熊助之丞がただ一人、一文字に走り出て攻めかかった。敵はこれ
を見て助之丞を目がけて四、五人が駆け出し、戦場の中で
渡り合った。助之丞は働いたが、相手が大勢であるので突き

【左丁】
門、生熊の子十大夫が続いて駆け合い、助之丞を討った
敵の内二人を討ち取った。これにより敵は後へ引き退いて、このようにせ
り合いでまた討たれもしたが、大勢の敵は攻めかかりもせず鉄
砲も撃たなかった。そうした所に味方に備えてあった三会村の者
どもが敵へ攻めかかるふりをして後ろへ向かい、鉄砲を撃ちかけた。
山手の一揆と一緒になって駆けかかった。これを見て味方
に備えてあった村々の者どもが我先にと在所の方へ逃げ
行った。これにより侍どもは早々に城中へ引き籠もった。
また日水石村の半分は南有馬村の一揆に変わって、庄
屋大蔵を旗取りとして、代官高橋武右衛門を儻寺へ火を

The villages involved were Sankai village, Higashi-Kuga village, Ono village, Yuguchi village, Tahira
village, and Tsuchiguro village. The magistrates were Kondo Genzaemon, Okazaki Denzaemon,
Sena Shichiroemon, and ashigaru commander Nagaya Sukezaemon—these four
served as leaders, along with Hanabusa Shichiroebe, Ikuma Sukenosuke, the same Judayu,
and Okamura Gentaro—eight men in total. As the enemy pressed forward at the western gate, they had
the people from these villages bring weapons and went out to meet them. In battle with the enemy at a distance of about three cho,
Ikuma Sukenosuke alone charged straight forward in attack. The enemy saw this
and aimed at Sukenosuke, with four or five men rushing out, and they
engaged in combat on the battlefield. Though Sukenosuke fought well, since the opponents were numerous, he was struck
down and killed in battle. Nagaya Sukezaemon, Seto Shichiroemon,

and Ikuma's son Judayu continued the charge, and of the enemy who had killed Sukenosuke,
they killed two men. Because of this, the enemy withdrew to the rear, and though in this kind of skir-
mishing others were also killed, the main enemy force neither attacked nor
fired guns. At that point, the men from Sankai village who were positioned with our allies
pretended to attack the enemy but turned toward the rear and fired guns at them.
They charged together with the mountain rebels. Seeing this, the men
from the villages positioned with our allies fled toward their home villages, each trying to be first.
Because of this, the samurai quickly withdrew and shut themselves in the castle.
Also, half of Himizu-ishi village joined the South Arima village rebels, with village head
Okura as their standard bearer, setting fire to magistrate Takahashi Buemon at [unclear temple name]
