　此竹跡へ参候はゝ我等逃候与御覧候得と申
　けれは新兵衛見事に候と申候扨安徳村を過
　瀬野村古城え押寄候処空堀有之内は大竹林
　百間四方一方口之屋敷に而候を侍八十余人
　堀端に立並候得は片かわまはらにさへ人数
　不足に候足軽以下は皆余所目して扣候新兵
　衛さらは時之声を掲よ迚二三度えひ〳〵と申
　候得共皆々力残をかみ只せきたる気色斗に
　而声を立る者壱人もなし新兵衛は扨も口惜
　次第哉此躰に而は勝利得かたし皆々侍に而

　は有ましきと申歯噛を致し候時に奥田左京
　続て拙者門名小平次青木庄七堀へ飛入屋敷
　之内へ馳入見申候得は老たる男女四五人な
　らては居不申此やつ奴原庭中え出是は古具吉利
　支丹に而御座候御切候得と申首をのへ来る
　を下々に申付切捨させ家に火を懸出申候得
　は早巳之刻斗に成申候夫ゟ弐町程深江之方
　へ押候得は左之方に薮一重隠家有之候を怪
　しみ奥田左京青木庄七拙者兄弟其家之内え
　欠入見申候得共壱人も居不申候同勢之中ゟゝ

「この竹（の指物）を後に残して参ったならば、我らが逃げたとご覧になってください」と申したところ、新兵衛は「見事である」と申した。さて安徳村を通り過ぎ、瀬野村の古城へ押し寄せたところ、空堀があり、その内側は大竹林で百間四方、一方口の屋敷であった。侍八十余人が堀端に立ち並んだが、片側を回るだけでも人数が足りない。足軽以下は皆よそ見をして控えている。新兵衛は「さあ、鬨の声を上げよ」と言って二、三度「えい、えい」と申したが、皆々は力を出し惜しみ、ただ咳き込むような様子ばかりで、声を立てる者は一人もいない。新兵衛は「まことに口惜しい次第である。この体たらくでは勝利は得難い。皆々、侍ではあるまい」と申して歯噛みをした時に、奥田左京に続いて私と門名小平次、青木庄七が堀へ飛び入り、屋敷の内へ駆け入って見たところ、老いた男女四、五人しかいない。

「この奴らを庭中へ出せ。これは昔からのキリシタンでございます。お切りください」と申して首を伸べて来るのを、下々に申し付けて切り捨てさせ、家に火を掛けて出たところ、早くも巳の刻（午前10時頃）ほどになった。それから二町程深江の方へ押し進んだところ、左の方に藪一重に隠れた家があったのを怪しみ、奥田左京、青木庄七、私の兄弟がその家の内へ駆け入って見たが、一人もいなかった。同勢の中から
