　外にも手負或は討れたる者多く候味方之下
　らは一向に詠居申候新兵衛申候は敵後へ廻
　り取切候半との方便与見之候そ味方も一段
　は勝利を得たり只軽く引取候得と下知仕馬
　に打乗村中を引取安徳村を出離れ候得は城
　ゟ十四五丁程出張三百人斗と見えて立備居

引菱を撒き、人数を隠し、弓や鉄砲を多数構えて、味方を一騎討ちできる場所へおびき入れようとした。向かうのは左右三方からは稀にしか攻撃してこない。この場所で新兵衛父子は深手を負った。その他にも手負いあるいは討たれた者が多くいた。味方の下々は全く詠嘆していた。新兵衛が申すには「敵が後ろへ回って退路を断つつもりの策略と見える。それでも味方も一段は勝利を得た。ただ軽やかに引き取るがよい」と下知をして、馬に打ち乗り村中を引き取り、安徳村を出離れると、城から十四、五町程出張って三百人ほどと見えて立ち備えていた。敵か味方かと怪しんで、先陣から後陣へ申し送った。

ところが新兵衛が申すには「味方にこれほどの人数があるはずがない。きっと敵であろう。ここは足場がよい。馬を入れよ」との下知により、輿を揃えて駆け向かったところ、あの備えの中から武者一騎が進み出た。これは佃弥左衛門であった。野中孫左衛門、花房七郎兵衛、生熊助之丞、この四人は近郷の者どもが加勢として馳せ参ったのを召し連れ、張番のため、また深江は鉄砲が少ないであろうから参ろうということで、ここまで出てきた。後のことは安心してお思いください。皆様は直ちに城中へお入りくださいと申したので、皆も本道へ下り城中へ入った。今少し遅く引き取っていたならば
