　半分之鉄炮を打懸け鑓長刀太刀打に而追散
　し夫ゟ深江村寺之北脇乙名半兵衛と申者之
　家に取籠り候を踏つぶし敵以上八十五人討
　取申候味方には富岡弥左衛門鉄炮に当り相
　果申候其外新藤与兵衛鉄炮手を負翌日相果
　申候鉄炮大将松田兵左衛門父子竹村新右衛
　門中西甚五兵衛萩野有馬之助是も鉄炮手を
　負申候下々には余多手負死人御座候敵は布
　津村をさして致敗軍候若侍衆被申候は此勢

「今度連れて来た者たちは、あるいは敵の兄弟またはその子ども・親類であるから、城内も心もとない。その上、家臣等もこのように手傷を負ったので、とにかく明日のことにしよう」ということで、十月二十六日八つ半時（午後3時頃）に引き取った。その際の合戦の殿（しんがり）に入江与右衛門ならびに新兵衛の家臣林田清右衛門に鉄砲十挺を付けて殿を命じたことである。

At that time, for the rear guard of the battle, they assigned Irie Yoemon and Shinbei's retainer Hayashida Seiemon with ten guns to serve as the rear guard.
