一西国舩幷琉球舟之図
琉球貢使録序
琉球国始祖備考
東涯先の生の／秉燭（ヘイショク）❘／譚（タン）に
琉 球国は前代聞ゆる事なし
隋の時より中国に通す宋史の寰宇記には皆／流求（リウキウ）に作る
奥史には／瑠球（リウキウ）に作る予按するに一書に／流虬（リウキウ）に作る其国の
／形勢（カタチ）／虬（シッチ）の／流（ナカ）るゝか如し故に云うと国の主姓は歡セ斯氏と云と
隋の時代の事なるへし明の邵經邦か弘簡録分註に云流
球は上古無攷拠其世纉図云宋の淳凞十四年舜
天即くに王位云々舜天は日本の源／為朝（タメトモ）の男子と未□□

琉球国は前代に聞こえる事なし

奥史には瑠球に作る。予按ずるに一書に流虬に作る。其の国の
形勢、虬の流るるが如し故に云うと。国の主姓は歡斯氏と云うと
隋の時代の事なるべし。明の邵經邦が弘簡録分註に云う、流
球は上古考拠無し。其の世纉図に云う、宋の淳熙十四年舜
天王位に即くと云々。舜天は日本の源為朝の男子と［未詳］

In Master Tōgai's "Candlelight Conversations":
The Ryukyu Kingdom was not known in previous eras
Since the Sui period it has communicated with China. In the Huanyu Ji of the Song History, it is written as "Liuqiu"
In the Ou History it is written as "Liuqiu." Upon my examination, in one text it is written as "Liuxiu." The
topographical features of that country are like a flowing dragon, hence the name. The ruler's surname is said to be Huansi
This must refer to the Sui period. In Ming dynasty Shao Jingbang's Hongjian Lu annotation it says: Liu-
qiu has no verifiable records from ancient times. Its genealogical chart states that in the fourteenth year of Chunxi of the Song dynasty, Shun-
ten ascended to the throne, and so forth. Shunten is said to be the son of Japan's Minamoto no Tametomo [details unclear]
