夫琉球国は日本の西南に当て薩摩より三百余里海中の嶋国
也琉球の西南は暹羅（センラ）国にして東北は日本に向ふ行程東西七八日
南北十二三日四季暖にして水田一年に両度耕作するとかや和歌には
うるまの嶋とよめる慶長十五年のころより来朝す

人王百八代後陽成院御于慶長十五年琉球征すこれより代々

下巻 九之巻
そもそも琉球国は日本の西南に位置し、薩摩より三百余里の海中の島国である。琉球の西南は暹羅（シャム）国で、東北は日本に向かう。行程は東西七、八日、南北十二、三日。四季暖かく、水田は一年に二度耕作するという。和歌では「うるまの島」と詠まれる。慶長十五年の頃より来朝している。
時に寛延元年（戊辰・1748年）
人王百八代後陽成院の御代、慶長十五年に琉球征伐があり、これより代々来朝している。まことに盛んなることよ。幾千代も栄え続ける日本の恵まれた御代の例として、千秋万歳であろう。

The Kingdom of Ryukyu is located to the southwest of Japan, an island nation in the sea more than 300 ri from Satsuma. To the southwest of Ryukyu lies the Kingdom of Siam, and to the northeast it faces Japan. The journey takes seven to eight days east-west and twelve to thirteen days north-south. The four seasons are warm, and rice paddies are cultivated twice a year. In waka poetry it is referred to as "Uruma no shima" (the island of Uruma). [Ryukyu] has been coming to court since around the 15th year of Keichō.
At this time, the 1st year of Kan'en (Boshin, 1748)
During the reign of the 108th Human Sovereign, Emperor Go-Yōzei, in the 15th year of Keichō, Ryukyu was conquered, and since then [they] have come to court in each generation. How truly prosperous! As an example of Japan's blessed reign that will flourish for thousands of generations, may it last for a thousand autumns and ten thousand years.
