現代語訳
【右丁】
一、鉾持村へたけが皆済（完納）に参ったところ、神明の畑一筆分は皆済いたしましたが、その他の五筆分は土地の所在がはっきりしないため、また小作米も受け取っていないので、調査して判明した上では何でもいたしますが、とりあえず皆済は今すぐにはできませんと申しました。
一、当春、善助並びに親類の小村藤右衛門、池上勘右衛門が名主のもとへ参り、六兵衛の未納について調査に参った際、半右衛門が申すには、五筆分のところについてたけの言い分を話したところ、善助並びに親類が申すには、たけの方で皆済しないのであればやむを得ませんが、ご承知の中にはありますが上納の件につき、どのようにでもいたしますが、示談もございますので、たけの方へ督促していただきたい。不行き届きがあっても役所へご迷惑をおかけする筋ではありませんと。

This spring, when Zensuke along with relatives Komura Tozaemon and Ikegami Kanzaemon went to the village headman to investigate Rokubei's unpaid taxes, Hanemon stated: Regarding the matter of the five plots, when Take's position was discussed, Zensuke and the relatives said that if Take's side does not make full payment, it cannot be helped. Although you are aware of the situation, regarding the matter of payment to the authorities, we will do whatever is necessary. However, since there is also mediation involved, please urge Take's side to pay. Even if there are shortcomings, this does not mean we intend to cause trouble for the official authorities.
