さいふりとおもへは酒（さけ）は常（つね）に用（もちひ）て止（やむ）事なし何（なに）よりも大毒（たいどく）
なる物（もの）を用（もちひ）て薬（くすり）の功（こう）あらず病（やまひ）の治（ぢ）せざるを怪（あやしむ）へきや昔（むかし）
人（ひと）ありて夏月（かけつ）炎暑（ゑんしよ）の時に衣服（いふく）を厚（あつく）重（かさね）着（き）て団扇（うちは）にて

そう言うけれども、酒は常に用いて止むことがない。何よりも大毒である物を用いて、薬の効果がなく病気が治らないのを怪しむべきであろうか。昔、ある人がいて、夏月炎暑の時に衣服を厚く重ね着して団扇で扇がせて、よく涼しくならないと怒って扇いだ者を殺したということである。
また一人は、冬月寒天に密室に閉じこもり、飽くまで食べ暖かに着て、炭火にあたり熱酒を飲み汗を流して、「今この時節にこんなに暖かなのは天気がひどく不順である」と言ったという。あの僅かに芋は食べないけれども、酒は大いにこれを飲んで痰が治らないと言う人は、大方このような天気不順に近いことであろうと思われる。

心痛論
○心痛とは胸の痛みの病気である。その症状には種々の種類がある。『内経』に「真心痛は手足が冷えて関節に至り、心痛むことがはなはだしい。朝に発して夕に死し、夕に発して朝に死す」と言われている。また胃脘痛は胃脘が心に当たって痛むのである。
心痛は総て九種類あることが『病源論』に見える。その病症・病因もまた種々の説がある。今この症を起こす者で、経に言うところの真心痛の者は稀で、多くは皆胃脘痛である。『仁斎直指』等に言うところの、病が心の絡脈にある者である。その症状は胸膈の正中で心に当たる所が痛む。その痛みは少しく、隠々として時に痛み時に止み、久しくしてその痛みは

On Heart Pain
○Heart pain is a disease of chest pain. There are various types of symptoms. The "Inner Canon" states: "True heart pain causes the hands and feet to become cold extending to the joints, and the heart pain is severe. If it occurs in the morning, death comes by evening; if it occurs in the evening, death comes by morning." Also, stomach cavity pain is pain when the stomach cavity affects the heart.
There are nine types of heart pain in total, as seen in the "Treatise on Disease Origins." The disease symptoms and causes also have various explanations.
