これによって徳を喪い身を亡ぼす者は常に甚だ少なく、これによって病気を招き命を危うくする者は常に甚だ多い。『黄帝内経』に曰く「酒を漿（飲み物）とし、妄を常とし、酔って房事に入り、欲によってその精を竭らし、その真を耗散させる」と。そもそも『内経』は医学の教えの祖であり、その巻を開く始めにまず酒を以て言葉とするということは、その害の大きさは固より見ることができる。
