《割書：互いに見つけると》
子ども「おや、青砥屋のおじさん、どこへいらっしゃるの。私たちの方へは来ないものですね」
久「送りの帰りか」
茶屋女「ああ、そう、ちょっといらっしゃいましな、いらっしゃいましな」
《割書：というと向こうから又一艘の長期客を一人乗せた帰り船が来る。互いに見つけると》
子ども「おや、善さんじゃないの」
茶屋女「おやおや、よくおいでなさいましたね」
客「今帰りか。送りだと言ったから帰ってきたところだ。ちょうど」
互いに「良い所で会ったな。さあ舟を返してくれ」
《割書：と互いに騒々しく》
《割書：騒めき、舟を引き返し、二艘並べて何か話しながら急いで行く。○これはこの客とこの女郎が馴染みで来た》
《割書：ところが他所へ送りに行ったのを聞き、空しく帰ってここまで来たのである。ちょうど良い所で会い、舟を引き返したのである》
朝雛「これはいいいい。ああいう所からが大磯遊びだよ。そして良いちょうど。まだ落ち着いている鳥羽瀬の女郎だの」
久「そうさ、あの子なんかは三河出の板頭さ」
板頭とは遊女屋の板頭だということ。大磯の通言葉である。
この舟はさほど急ぎもしないので、ようやく右に白船稲荷、左に清見の四天川岸を見て行き過ぎるのである。
朝雛「祐成さん、これ、この右が白船稲荷、左が清見の四天河岸。すなわちあの堂が清見」
